Job Description: JOB TITLE: Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) Processing Maintenance Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, coordinate, conduct and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities in support of processing, production, and distribution activities of the
Vista International Technologies Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) processing facility.
KEY ACTIVITIES: • Ensure all TDF Processing facility maintenance activities are conducted with the highest degree of safety. • Ensure all facility operations and maintenance activities meet strict environmental compliance. • In close coordination with the TDF Processing Operations Manager (OM) and Facility Manager (FM) develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans and strategies to more efficiently employ personnel, tools and material and reduce equipment downtime. Develop and propose maintenance budgets and request approval for expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources and ensure materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to support production targets. • Constantly monitor processing schedules and production in consultation with the OM and FM to make decisions concerning preventive and corrective maintenance cycles and schedules. • Work closely with the OM and FM to anticipate, identify and resolve production or processing problems related to maintenance. • Develop and carry out budget and cost control measures for all maintenance activities. • Plan and execute equipment installation, maintenance and repair activities • Develop plans, schedules and budgets for the maintenance and repairs of facility and equipment to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. • Develop and implement procedures for tool and parts inventory management. • Develop maintenance skills of subordinate personnel.
REQUIREMENTS: • 7-10 years of operations maintenance experience with at least 3 years of supervisory experience. • Demonstrated leadership ability in a diverse organization. • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, TCEQ or related. • Demonstrated ability to develop plans, schedules and budgets. • Understanding of production processes and operations and thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical principles. • Experience in material handling equipment. • Experience in the TDF processing industry is a PLUS! • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel. • Proven track record of effective interpersonal communication and extremely effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. • Effective problem solving skills with a collaborative approach to conflict resolution. • Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.
